Abstract

Occupational therapy is a science and art to direct a person's participation to identify goals and develop customized interventions in overcoming physical, cognitive, and psychosocial barriers. The target of this therapy is the elderly group because in the elderly there has been a lot of decline such as physical, biological, psychological conditions and changes in social conditions. This occupational therapy activity was carried out in the form of making photo figurines using straw material which was carried out on Wednesday, June 7, 2024 at 09.00 to 09.30 at the social tresna wredha home in Bondowoso Regency, Indonesia which was attended by 9 elderly participants. The results of the activity obtained that all participants successfully completed the therapy with great enthusiasm from the beginning to the end of the activity.   Occupational therapy in the elderly can be used as a non-pharmacological alternative that is easy to do, easy to make and fun for the elderly.
